I'm a freelance photographer and digital tech based in Southern France. Born and grew up in the suburb of Paris, I moved to the South of France in 2002, first to Avignon and now near Montpellier, where I live with my wife, our two unruly kids and our fifth element.
I studied photography at Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière, but before being a freelancer, I worked 15 years in the Information Technology field, software development, then technical sales. Eventually, I got burnt out with the big corporate world, and needed to get back to something more creative. I quit the IT world in 2010 and worked as a fulltime freelance graphic designer for five years, exploring several creative outlets.
Photography has always been a side passion, until recently. Somehow, in the last couple of years, I got more and more involved in making pictures, both personal and commissioned, so I'm spending now more time digging this, whilst helping others and teaching.
To me, photography is about learning, exploring, making connections with people, and telling visual stories that help to change minds and make a better world. This is also true with video, which I'm in an ongoing process of learning. Just being opened to my next neighbor and his everyday life is a first step. Taking time for my kids is the first stone for a better future.
Feel free to contact me for assignments anywhere. I speak and write French and English, and can catch a few words of Vietnamese.
